Turning Vision Into Reality

Defining our purpose and direction

Shaping the Future Together

At Gurkha–Samurai Bootcamp we are committed to transforming the aspirations of Nepali youths into concrete opportunities that can change the trajectory of their lives. Every year more than 2,500 young Nepalis are compelled to leave the country in search of work, often forced into low-paying, risky and physically demanding jobs in the Gulf and other regions. Our work directly addresses this challenge by creating an alternative pathway—one rooted in education, skill-building, and character development. We provide zero-cost, high-quality training programs that combine Japanese language learning with cultural immersion, technical expertise, and personal discipline. By connecting Nepali youths with safe, transparent, and well-paid employment opportunities in Japan through the SSW visa framework, we create an environment where deserving individuals can build meaningful careers free from exploitation or broken promises. However, our role extends far beyond employment placement. We emphasize leadership, communication, problem-solving, and resilience as core parts of our training.

vision-to-reality

We continue to support our candidates even after they begin working in Japan, providing ongoing mentorship, personal development resources, and mental health support to ensure their long-term success. Ultimately, our mission is to create a cycle of impact: when these youths return to Nepal, they bring back international experience, financial security, and the confidence to start businesses, strengthen their communities, and contribute to Nepal’s economic growth. Guided by the philosophy of Kokorozashi—a purpose beyond self—we are not simply preparing workers for overseas jobs, but cultivating future leaders who carry with them a responsibility to give back to their country.

Application With
Google Form

The journey begins with a simple yet purposeful online application, submitted either through the official website or via the Google Form shared on our Facebook page. Candidates are asked to express their interest, provide basic personal details, and articulate why they resonate with Kokorozashi’s mission. This step serves as an initial filter for intent and alignment with the values of discipline, purpose, and social contribution. Since email is the primary mode of communication, applicants must provide a valid email address—applications without one will be automatically cancelled to maintain transparency and accountability.

Candidates Selection
Process

After the initial application review, shortlisted candidates are invited to take an online IQ and aptitude test. This assessment is designed to evaluate cognitive abilities, problem-solving skills, and overall readiness for the rigorous training ahead. It ensures that applicants possess the foundational competencies required to thrive in the bootcamp and succeed in future work environments in Japan. Only those who meet the benchmark move forward to the interview stage.

Aptitude Test

Candidates who pass the aptitude test are invited to a one-on-one interview conducted via Google Meet. This stage is designed to explore the applicant’s character, motivation, communication skills, and cultural adaptability. It’s a meaningful conversation that delves into the candidate’s personal journey, their understanding of Kokorozashi’s philosophy, and their willingness to commit to a transformative experience. More than just an evaluation, it’s an opportunity to connect beyond scores and assess genuine alignment with the bootcamp’s mission and values.

Multiple rigorous
rounds of interviews

Successful candidates from the first interview are invited to a final in-person group or panel interview. This stage offers a deeper evaluation of each applicant’s discipline, emotional resilience, leadership potential, and long-term commitment to the Gurkha–Samurai philosophy. Candidates are challenged to reflect on their personal purpose and demonstrate how they intend to embody the spirit of the program—not just as trainees, but as future changemakers capable of driving meaningful impact across borders.
